Home Means Nevada
The last Friday of October doesn’t hold much significance anywhere but Nevada. The state celebrates Nevada Day, and the Vegas Golden Knights joined in the festivities for the second year in a row. The Golden Knights, who won 7-0 vs. Colorado last year on Nevada Day, wear their white jerseys for the occasion and play in the afternoon to allow families to enjoy the day off at T-Mobile Arena. This year, Vegas took on Tampa Bay for their Nevada Day celebration.
During warmups, the Golden Knights wore a special Nevada Day jersey that features the secondary logo. Following warmups, each player signed their respective Nevada Day jersey which auctioned off during the game and all of the proceeds went to the VGK Foundation.
Fans were encouraged to match their Golden Knights at the Nevada Day game.
All Golden Knights fans in attendance received a Deryk Engelland bobble head courtesy of City National Bank on Nevada Day. The Golden Knights couldn’t pull out a win, but Nevadans celebrated their state’s addition to the Union by coming together and enjoying a hockey game for the second year in a row.
