Team Building In Montana
Before the start of the 2018-19 season, the Golden Knights went up to Rock Creek Cattle Company in Montana to spent a few days on Chairman and CEO Bill Foley’s ranch. The players enjoyed the time away from the rink doing team-building exercises and seeing all that the country property had to offer.
The brisk weather was a shock to the system of the players who went from the Vegas heat to the 50-degree days in Montana. During their time away from the rink, the team spent the days hiking, fishing, playing golf and riding ATVs.
“It’s important to get out of the rink, talk and have some leisure time with the guys,” Golden Knights defenseman Colin Miller said.
Foley spent time with the players during their stay and Miller said that having a team owner be so hands-on and present with the players is important for team morale.
“You can ask all of the players, we’re very fortunate to be here,” Miller said.
