Bellemare Brings Love Of Hockey To Local Kids
Pierre-Edouard Bellemare takes helping the Las Vegas community seriously and he proved that Wednesday when he and the NHLPA came together to help a great cause.
The Goals and Dreams initiative helps make hockey more accessible for children who are in situations where they can’t afford to play. Bellemare, with some help from teammate William Carrier, outfitted 25 children with new hockey gear and gave them some pointers on the ice.
The Las Vegas Police Hockey Team helped the kids get their equipment on made sure they were putting on pieces of gear that fit them properly.
Initiatives like this are the reason that youth hockey is booming in Las Vegas and is helping Nevada become a hockey state.
