Paul Stastny came to the Vegas Golden Knights from the Winnipeg Jets in the offseason. Previously, he had played for the St. Louis Blues and the Colorado Avalanche. None of his three previous teams were located in the desert, so there was a bit of a learning curve when the Stastny clan arrived in Nevada.

Here are the Top-3 things that Stastny has learned since arriving in Las Vegas:

1. Scorpions exist 🦂. And you need to watch out for them. Before heading over to City National Arena for practice early in training camp, Stastny had pest control to his house to have the property sprayed for scorpions.

2. He needs a pool heater 🏊‍♀️. Having a pool in Vegas is a necessity, but if you asked Stastny’s children, they’d tell you that the pool would be a lot nicer if it was a bit warmer.

3. Call the Engellands ☎️. Almost everything else that Stastny and his family needed to figure out was completed with the help of Deryk and Melissa Engelland who have lived in Las Vegas for more than a decade.
