Golden Knights Achieve Out-Of-This-World Puck Drop
The Golden Knights raised the bar for the team’s home opener across the board, but they literally reached new heights with the ceremonial faceoff.
The team used a weather balloon to carry the puck all the way up into space.
Fans watched video from the balloon captured earlier in the week during a two-hour video on Facebook.
The puck eventually peaked at 94,656 feet — a VGK Worldwide record!
Months of planning went into making the puck drop happen, from launch to hitting the ice. Once that puck finally hit the ice, it was hockey time!
