Fans Learn What A Game Day Is Like For A Player And Coach At The Last Session Of VGKU

Before doors opened at The Fortress for the Golden Knights to take on the Winnipeg Jets on Friday, fans attended the last session of Vegas Golden Knights University presented by City National. The curriculum for the last session was to learn on ice techniques at T-Mobile Arena then followed by an off-ice session where Vegas Golden Knights Director of Hockey Operations, Misha Donskov, and former NHLer and now Vegas Golden Knights Color Analyst, Shane Hnidy, gave fans the break down of a game-day routine for players and coaches.

Donskov and Hnidy went over simple skating techniques for a hour session before heading to the classroom.

As fans went into the classroom, each received their last VGKU booklet to break down what a the Golden Knights and coaches go through on a game day. Hnidy elaborated on a typical game day schedule from the time the players arrived at the facility till puck drop. Donskov went in depth on how the coaches break down the preparation it takes to take on their opponent. Students in the class obtained plenty of knowledge on how their favorite Golden Knights players and coaches spend their game-days. Rounding out the last session of VGKU, fans played hockey jeopardy which entailed topics from the previous sessions of Intro to Hockey, Creating Offense, Defensive Strategy, Special Teams (powerplay & penalty kill) and the last session of A Day In The Life. During jeopardy, students won awesome VGK gear that they can rock anywhere, especially The Fortress.
