Nevada Big Give Day
Vegas Golden Knights team president Kerry Bubolz joined state officials for Nevada’s Big Give on March 21 to help charities in Nevada. The Golden Knights donated to charities throughout Northern and Southern Nevada, donating $10,000.
The list includes:
Northern Nevada
Sierra Nevada Journey’s – Immerses underprivilege kids children in outdoor learning, teamwork, and leadership training and exercises through their summer camps
Community Health Alliance – Provides health care services and screenings to low-income women throughout Northern Nevada
Food Bank of Northern Nevada – Food Bank serving Reno and the surrounding rural areas
For the Kids Foundation – To pay for sports equipment, uniforms, and youth leagues registration fees for low-income students in the Reno area.
Southern Nevada
Leaders in Training – Provides minority high school seniors with scholarships to empower educational equity, college access and future commitment to use their education and success to give back to the Nevada community
The Mob Museum – Funds will go toward their education outreach programs for low-income residents
Accion - Provides underserved minority entrepreneurs with loans to start or grow a business
Volunteers in Medicine – Local healthcare professionals who volunteer to provide and offer free healthcare services to low-income, uninsured residents of southern Nevada
USO Las Vegas – Provides educational and support services for active duty military and their families currently stationed in Southern Nevada
UNLV Hockey Club – To Support their continued growth and help cover travel cost for their national tournaments.
This donation helps these organizations in a variety of ways and supports our local community as well as local non-profits.
There was also appearances from Nevada First Lady Kathy Sisolak, Nevada Big Give Founder Stacey Wedding, United Way of Southern Nevada CEO Kyle Rahn and Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft.
The Golden Knights went onto win 5-0 vs Winnipeg and it was a great day for all!
