Golden Knights host Autism Awareness Night
On Monday April 1, the Golden Knights celebrated Autism Awareness Night at T-Mobile Arena. There was a ceremonial puck drop and local children even got to ring the rally siren to hype up the crowd. It was a night dedicated to something that affects many families and kids. The Golden Knights Foundation decided to step in and make a donation of $25,000 to Families For Effective Autism Treatment.
Not only was money donated to help cover the costs of funding treatment resources but the kids were also invited onto the ice during the intermission and had a shootout. To help show support of this night, VGK coaches and broadcasters wore puzzle piece pins which is largely recognized as the symbol for Autism awareness.
