Knock Down, Knight Up!
On Monday morning, members of the Vegas Golden Knights staff joined officials from the City of Henderson at the Henderson Convention Center to celebrate the start of construction on Vegas Golden Knights at Henderson: a new hockey facility in Downtown Henderson.
The convention center is being taken down and the new facility will stand where the center currently resides. To signal the start of demolition, defenseman Deryk Engelland shot a puck through a window and Chance threw a fake block of TNT which triggered confetti.

Golden Knights President Kerry Bubolz, Henderson Mayor Debra March and City Manager/CEO Richard Derrick were on hand to help the ceremonial demo. The new facility will hold two NHL-size rinks and serve as a venue for the City of Henderson to use as a community hub.

"The team already has a huge fan base in Henderson and their presence in our community will actively engage residents and the next generation of players in the sport of hockey,” March said.
