His day began with a helicopter ride over the Las Vegas Strip before receiving a police escort on his way to City National Arena by limousine. When he arrived, fans lined the street to welcome him to the team.
Doron and his new teammates had a pre-skate meal and talked about hockey before VGK President Kerry Bubolz helped him sign his first NHL contract.
Now officially a Golden Knight, Doron headed into the locker room where he suited up along side his favorite NHL players.
Once he was geared up, Doron was introduced as the newest Vegas Golden Knight. He walked through the Knight helmet and past the Knight Line and Vegas Belles as he heard his name called. From there, the players made him feel right at home as he set up in net to stop some NHL shooters.
With his idol looking on, Doron got to test his skills in net against Deryk Engelland, Cody Eakin, Ryan Reaves, Paul Stastny, Reilly Smith and Max Pacioretty. Doron’s wish to be a Golden Knight for a day and meet Fleury is one of five stories to be featured in the summertime series on SportsCenter.
Doron’s day was completed when his teammates signed his jersey and sent him home with a lifetime of memories from his time as a Vegas Golden Knight.
