Season Ticket Members Take Home History from Battle Worn Armor Sale
Vegas Golden Knights season ticket members flocked to City National Arena on Sunday for the team’s first Battle Worn Armor sale. The Golden Knights staff collected the team’s game-used and team-issued gear and offered season ticket members the chance to purchase items that belonged to their favorite players.
Some lucky fans left with unique goalie masks worn by Vegas’ netminders.
“Our members are incredibly special to us and one of the member benefits we wanted to make available was the game-used items from the inaugural season and last season,” said Chief Marketing Officer Brian Killingsworth. “It gives them a chance to take home a piece of history and be able to proudly display it or, in some cases, skate with it.”
Of course Chance was on hand to bring some smiles!
“It was a super fun experience,” said season ticket member Megan Ekstrom. “Most of what I bought is for friends, so I’m ready for Christmas!”
Season ticket member Ruben Sanchez left with both hands full of special items, including some from the team’s inaugural season.
“These are things I can look back on and say ‘wow, I remember being there for all of that,’” Sanchez said.
Members came out for four different sessions throughout the day and were able to buy and take home as much as they wanted.
“It was fun to see each session new members came out and got so excited by all of the items,” Killingsworth said. “These are things that you just can’t buy so this is one of those things that we’re excited to offer this year and we hope that it becomes a tradition.”
