Golden Knights Host Blood Drive On Oct. 1 Anniversary

When the October 1 tragedy took place shortly before the Vegas Golden Knights inaugural season was set to begin in 2017, the team jumped into action to help give the community something to rally around. Since then, the Golden Knights have made sure to put community at the forefront of everything they do. This especially rings true every year on the anniversary of the tragedy.

Due to COVID-19, the organization wasn’t able to acknowledge the anniversary in the same way they typically would, but the still found a way to give back to the community.

VGK partnered with the American Red Cross and utilized T-Mobile Arena to give the community a way to make safe, socially distanced blood donations for those in need. Golden Knights broadcasters Dave Goucher and Stormy Buonantony joined the community to give blood donations of their own.
