12 Knights of Giving: Adams Place Visits VGK Practice
For the final initiative for the VGK Foundation’s Holiday Knights of Giving, Keegan Kolesar hosted children from the Adams Place to watch a pregame morning skate at City National Arena ahead of their matchup with the Seattle Kraken on Dec. 21, 2024.
Adams Place is a local nonprofit that provides support for children and families that are experiencing loss. They use camp cope programs, activities, and resources to help these families get through their tough times.
Kolesar used his own experiences to talk to the kids and help start a connection. Kolesar showed these kids that they are not alone in their experiences, and they will always have someone to lean on.
After morning skate, Kolesar spent time meeting the children, signing autographs, and passing out special t-shirts. By creating these connections, the children know there is always someone who cares for them.
