VGK Center Of Excellence Figure Skater Qualifies For Sectional Championships

The Vegas Golden Knights Center of Excellence recently saw it’s first ever figure skater advance to the Pacific Coast Sectional Championships taking place in Wenatchee, WA on November 13th. Katie Freter, a local high school senior, placed 4th at regional championships in Salt Lake City. She is coached by David Nickel and Chad Goodwin.

The Center of Excellence, like many other programs around town, has greatly benefitted from the demand of youth hockey around Las Vegas. Held at City National Arena, the program was created to develop competitive figure skaters and help athletes reach their full potential on the ice.
