Vegas Prospects Recognized By National Junior Teams
Three different Vegas prospects, all drafted by the Golden Knights just a year ago in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, made headlines this week with their respective national junior teams.
Peyton Krebs and Kaedan Korczak were both recognized as invitees to Canada’s National Junior Team Development Camp. 41 total players were invited to Hockey Canada’s all-virtual camp which will be held July 27-31 in preparation for the 2021 World Junior Championship held in Canada,
Krebs, the Golden Knights’ first-round pick last summer, collected 60 points (12 G, 48 A) in just 38 games with the Western Hockey League’s Winnipeg Ice. Korczak spent the 2019-20 season with the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL and led all defensemen with 49 points (11 G, 38 A).
Fellow 2020 draft pick Marcus Kallionkieli was also recognized by his national junior team, as he was named to Finland’s U20 summer roster. The forward appeared in 24 games during the 2019-20 season with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL.
