VGK Products Heading to Red Deer
As the IIHF World Junior Championships are around the corner, VGK’s very own are finding roster spots and opportunities to represent their countries.
Zach Dean and Lukas Cormier have been named to Team Canada’s selection camp. They will both have the opportunity to bring gold back to Canada after falling just short last season.
Another 2021 draft pick, Jakub Demek will also have the chance to represent Slovakia this year. Demek came over to North America this year and has 29 point with the Edmonton Oil Kinds of the Western Hockey League.
Fellow draftee, Jakub Brabenec will be heading to Red Deer as well playing for the Czech Republic. Brabenec has been a key contributor for the Charlottetown Islanders this season in his first year in North America.
Jesper Vikman will be one of the three goalies for Team Sweden. He has had a good year with the Vancouver Giants of the WHL, posting a 11-4-1 record with a .906 save percentage to go with a 3.06 goals-against average.
