Fleury Named NHL's "Third Star" of the Week
Marc-Andre Fleury was named the NHL’s “Third Star” of the week, ending on May 9th, for his excellent play and a milestone reached. During the week, Fleury performance versus the Wild, stopping 46 of 49 shots, gave the Golden Knights their 80th point of the season while vaulting Flower over Roberto Luongo for third overall in all time career wins.
Fleury has had an accomplished season, moving up to 15th overall in career shutouts, third in career wins, 50,000 career minutes played, along with being named both the NHL’s “Second Star” (Feb. 14) as well this “Third Star”. Moving into the postseason, Flower only needs seven wins to be tied for the 4th most postseason wins of all goaltenders. He is also only one shoutout away from being in sole possession of the 4th most shoutouts in the postseason.
