Asian American and Pacific Islander Knight
On Jan. 30, the Vegas Golden Knights hosted its first ever Asian American and Pacific Islander Knight as they took on the Columbus Blue Jackets at T-Mobile Arena.
AAPI Knight was a more inclusive expansion of the team’s previous Lunar New Year theme nights. 2025 is the year of the snake, so Chance’s head can be seen on a snake throughout posters and team gear.
The Lohan School of Shaolin joined VGK cast in the March to the Fortress and performed with Chinese dragons before the fortress officially opened.
Chinese New Year in the Desert joined the Golden Knights in hosting Lunar New Year activities throughout the concourse to help fans celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Knight!
Morgan Young, Miss Clark County, rang the pregame siren, and singer, Ylona, rang the third period siren. The Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce was also honored during the game as well.
On Feb. 1, VGK cast joined the Lunar New Year parade in downtown Las Vegas to close out the Lunar New Year festivities!
