Alex Tuch Wins The 2019 Movember Moustache Cup
For the first time this past November select NHL teams and players went head-to-head in an effort to raise funds for the Movember Foundation. Throughout the month, hockey fans across the globe had the opportunity to donate towards their favorite players in support of men’s health initiatives.
Alex Tuch and Vegas Golden Knights’ fans did their part in supporting the Movember Foundation during the month-long fundraising challenge. Tuch, who served as the team captain of the Golden Knights, helped raise nearly $5,000 which was more than any other participating player across the NHL. He edged out Blackhawks Captain Andrew Shaw in the challenge.
In addition to Tuch leading all players, the Golden Knights as a whole raised nearly $20,000, leading all teams. The Jets, Senators, Oilers, Canucks, Flames, Wild, Ducks, Panthers, Blue Jackets and Blackhawks also took part in the first annual fundraising initiative. Nearly $100,000 was raised by the teams total.
Golden Knights fans’ had the opportunity to donate to William Carrier, Cody Eakin, Nick Holden, Brayden McNabb, Jon Merrill, Brandon Pirri, Mark Stone, Malcolm Subban and Shea Theodore as well as Tuch.
Alex made sure to thank fans for their support!
