Marc-Andre Fleury Ranks Third in NHL Jersey Sales for 2018-19 Season
After the inaugural season of the Golden Knights, Marc-Andre Fleury’s jersey was in the top five ranking of NHL jersey sales at No. 4. Only halfway through the Golden Knights’ second season, Fleury surpassed Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid in the rankings to No. 3, with McDavid jersey falling to No. 8 for 2018-19.
The Vegas Golden Knights have been such an inspiration to the city of Las Vegas and it has even branched out to outside of Nevada.
“Golden Knights fans around the globe have supported the team from the beginning. We have had fans in over 110 countries purchase VGK Gear and the majority of those purchases have been jerseys,” said Chief Marketing Officer of the Golden Knights, Brian Killingsworth.
Fleury being one of the top goalies today in the NHL, coming from the Pittsburgh Penguins with Stanley Cup background, he is a well-known and loved player through the league.
“We are tremendously proud that Marc-Andre Fleury’s jersey is the third best selling jersey in the NHL and it is a testament to the player he is on the ice,” said Killingsworth, “and the character he exhibits off the ice.”
Fleury is definitely a fan favorite in T-Mobile Arena, with tons of his jerseys in the stands, loud roars when his name announced and when he makes unbelievable saves.
Fans not only support the Golden Knights with gear, but Fleury and his team have made such an impact on children in Las Vegas.
“We aim to be in the Top 5 in every business category and this is another example of how our fan base continues to grow,” said Killingsworth.
