The Ups and Downs of Lake Tahoe
The NHL’s 2021 Outdoor Games was a historic moment for the Vegas Golden Knights. It was the first outdoor game that VGK was able to play in, and with it came many bumps and bruises. The game started off as planned, with a stunning view of the lake and mountains on a sunny day.
At the end of the first period, the score was 1-0 for Colorado Avalanche. Unfortunately, the sun was too much for the ice, and the second period was postponed for eight hours. The game restarted at 9:00 PM.
The second and third period did not go in favor for VGK. The Avalanche won with a score of 3-2. Even with a loss, the day was a huge step for hockey in Nevada and for the Golden Knights.
