Dave Christian and Bill Baker Kick Off 1980 U.S. Olympic Reunion

Dave Christian and Bill Baker were defense partners on the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey team where they captured the hearts of the nation en route to an upset Gold Medal. On Jan. 31 in Las Vegas, the two were partners once again in promoting the Relive The Miracle Event slated for Feb. 22 at Thomas & Mack Center.

Christian and Baker spoke to local media over lunch about their experience playing for the United States in 1980 and what fans can look forward to about the Relive The Miracle event.

The two then stopped by the VGK studio to share stories from the historic run to the Gold Medal that say the United States upset the Soviet Union in the medal round.

Baker and Christian rounded out the day by stopping by the Golden Knights’ Skate and Watch party for their game at Carolina. They spoke with VGK broadcaster Darren Eliot about their excitement for the 40th anniversary celebration in Las Vegas.
