Engelland Honored In "40 Under 40" Publication
In Vegas INC’s 20th annual “40 Under 40” publication, Deryk Engelland was among those honored for his relentless work off the ice and throughout the Las Vegas community. Along with the publication, a private ceremony was held to recognize Southern Nevada’s most influential and successful professionals.
Following the 2018-19 season, Engelland earned the Vegas Strong Service Award for the second consecutive year. The Vegas Strong Service Award is given to the Vegas player that is most involved in serving and giving back to the Las Vegas community.
The defenseman was selected from the Calgary Flames during the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft. Before his time with the Golden Knights, Engelland had also played in Las Vegas for the East Coast Hockey League’s Las Vegas Wranglers from 2003-05.
Congrats, Deryk!
